Question by Niblib: What wood should a diy tv cabinet be made out of?
For a first timer. Something easy to work with but that last I made well. Thanks :)
Also if it makes any difference I want to paint it

Pine or MDF board.Depends on you and your budget.See the guys at the hardware or timber shop,they are usually helpful and some have a lot of practical experience too.

    MDF works great, easy to cut & takes paint very well.

    if you are going to paint it use a cheap pine or poplar …either will take paint ok…

    Use concrete.
    Easy, cheap, paintable and VERY durable.
    (I’d use poplar, pine, alder or MDF though)
